Bengaluru schools were rocked by bomb threats on Friday, just hours after a similar scare in Delhi. At least 40 private schools across Bengaluru, including those in Rajarajeshwari Nagar and Kengeri, received threatening emails early in the morning, causing panic among students, parents, and staff.

The Bengaluru schools immediately alerted police, who deployed multiple teams along with the Bomb Disposal Squad to secure the premises. Comprehensive checks were conducted at the affected schools to ensure everyone’s safety. Investigators are actively tracing the source of the anonymous emails that triggered the alarm.

Earlier the same day, around 45 schools in Delhi faced a similar ordeal, marking the fourth such incident in a week. Prominent institutions like Summerfield International, St Thomas, GD Goenka, and schools in Rohini and Dwarka were evacuated after bomb threats. Police, fire brigades, and dog squads were mobilized across Delhi to handle the situation.

Former Delhi CM Atishi criticized the government for the repeated threats, expressing concern for the trauma inflicted on children, parents, and teachers. Meanwhile, security agencies conducted mock drills to test emergency preparedness in the wake of these alarming incidents.
